Nine parts, 96 pages, one test
The guide is written for the regular online sessions, with boxes for where the Orientation 4 Summer School route differs. Luiss publishes no syllabus and no section list, so the five areas below are how LuissPrep organises preparation around the words Luiss does publish, and the guide says so. Every worked example, data set, passage and diagnostic question was written for it: nothing is taken from Luiss's own material or from another publisher.

How the Luiss Test works
What the test is, the rule that you can only move forward, the two choices you cannot undo (the course you name and the language that follows it), the routes and sessions, how admission is decided by ranking until each course's places run out, and the rules of the online sitting that decide whether your test counts.

Diagnostic
Twenty-seven questions in 40 minutes across the five areas, sat the way the test runs: in order, one page at a time, without going back. Full solutions, and a map from each miss to the chapter that fixes it.
- Part II
Logic and Problem Solving
Statements, negation and equivalence; necessary and sufficient; all, some and none; what must follow from the premises; truth-tellers and liars; ordering puzzles; and the critical-thinking items: judging an assertion, and arguments and their assumptions.
- Part III
Mathematics
The longest part: eleven topic chapters from numbers, percentages and algebra through equations, exponentials, functions, geometry, analytic geometry and trigonometry to sets, counting, probability and statistics, each with what you must be able to do, a worked example and the traps.

Numerical Reasoning
Reading a table and reading a chart, percentages, shares and percentage points, averages, ratios and rates, word problems on speed, work, ages and mixtures, and telling when the information given is not enough.

Verbal Reasoning
Word relationships: analogies, synonyms and antonyms and the shades between them, odd one out and classification, sentence completion, and building vocabulary for a paper that is translated from the Italian.

Reading Comprehension
The kinds of question a passage carries, a method that survives one pass, two passages written for the guide and worked in full, and the wrong options sorted by the way they go wrong.
